MakroMart("we", "us", "our") operates an online marketplace connecting customers in Bangladesh with independent vendors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information We Collect

When you create an account or place an order, we collect:

• Your phone number (used to verify your identity via a one-time code — we do not require a password)
• Your name and delivery address, provided at checkout
• Your order history, including items purchased and order status
• Basic technical information (such as IP address) used to help detect and prevent fraudulent orders

We do not collect payment card details. Orders are currently paid via Cash on Delivery.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account, and verify your identity at login
• To process, fulfill, and deliver your orders
• To communicate with you about your orders (such as order confirmations and delivery updates)
• To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive orders, protecting both customers and vendors
• To improve our platform and services over time

Information We Share

When you place an order for a product fulfilled by one of our vendors, we share only what is necessary to deliver that order — your name, delivery address, and phone number — with the specific vendor fulfilling that item. Vendors do not receive your full account information, order history with other vendors, or any other personal data beyond what a single order requires.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share limited delivery information with courier partners solely to complete delivery of your order.

Data Storage & Security

Your information is stored on secure servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for essential site functionality, such as remembering your preferred language (Bengali or English). We do not currently use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us using the details below. Note that we may need to retain certain order records for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes even after a deletion request.

Children's Privacy

MakroMart is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
